Terms of Payment:
a. MOD offers multiple online and offline payment options to make your interior purchase hassle-free.
Online Payments
Every quotation shared with you will include an online payment link. The payment is processed through a secure payment gateway and you can use it to pay through all major credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and wallets.
Offline Payments
For bank/wire transfer, speak to your Designer or Sales Representative.
b. Payments are to be done as per the below mentioned payment schedule.
Booking Advance- 10% of the Project Value
Design Sign-Off – 50% of the Project Value upon finalisation of the design
MOD shall commence work only once the said amount has been received.
Please note that if there is a change in Project Value from Booking Advance stage to Design Sign Off stage, then the payment due would be calculated as 50% of the revised Project Value arrived at during the Design Sign Off stage minus the payment made by the Customer as Booking Advance so as to receive aggregate sum of 50% of the final Project Value.
Before delivery and installation: 100% of the Project Value
Notes:
– All the payments (as per the above schedule) should be made within 5 working days from the date as in when it becomes due.
– The final handover of the site will be given once the payment has been completely made by the customer.
– Delays in payment for any reason shall result in delayed and/or cancellation of installation and execution of works, for which MOD shall not be responsible or liable.
– The stage of completion of work shall be intimated to the Customer, every time upon completion of such event.
Quotation:
a) The quotations provided by MOD during the Order Booking stage i.e. advance of 10% shall be referred to as ‘Tentative Quotation’ while those provided after finalization of designs and at the time of Design Sign Of stage i.e. second payment milestone of 50% shall be referred to as ‘Final Quotation’.
b) The Tentative Quotations provided by MOD are tentative estimates and cannot be construed as final in any manner. The said quotations provided by MOD shall be valid for a period of Fifteen (15) days from its date of issue.
c) Initial quotations may not include civil, electrical and plumbing charges. The estimate for the same will be shared during the design phase and are dependent on factors such as site conditions, amongst others.
d) The final cost of the project shall be estimated after consideration of actual site measurements and conditions, changes in scope of work, designs, finishing and other similar factors.
e) Upon finalisation of the design for the relevant project with the MOD’ Designer, a final project value that is payable by the customer will be provided in the Final Quotation.
f) The quotations provided by MOD are inclusive of all applicable taxes, design charges and transportation.
g) The discount of quotations will be applicable to Woodwork and Services & Miscellaneous sections only, the Appliance & Accessory section and OEM Products section will not be computed into the discount.
h) Do note that the prices listed above for the materials (which are being used to provide the service) are inclusive of the facilitation and procurement fees that we charge to facilitate provision of these materials.
i) All the appliances in “OEM Products” are being sourced directly from the vendors/manufacturers and MOD is merely acting as an agent facilitating the purchase between such vendor/manufacturer and the customer.
¡) Logistics surcharge is applicable in the following special cases where additional resources are to be engaged for safe and timely delivery of materials: 1. Unavailability of service lift: No charges upto 1st floor and Rs 1180/- applicable for every floor after 1st floor. 2. Requirement for manual shifting: No charges for 10mtr upto lift on the ground floor and 20 mtr from lift to project site. Rs 1180/- applicable for every 10 mtr thereafter. 3. Cross-dock requirement: No charges if there is access for a 20ft vehicle. Rs. 5900/- applicable for cross dock if there is no access.
Pre Requisites:
a) Prior to the commencement of work by MOD, the Customer shall ensure that the site is handed over to MOD free of any encumbrances and ready for execution as per the Scope of Work agreed in the Final Quotation during Design Sign-Off.
b) The Customer shall procure necessary permissions or approvals, if required, from the relevant authorities (society, apartment body, local municipal body,etc.) prior to the commencement of works by MOD.
c) The Customer shall ensure that during the execution of works by MOD, no other contractor and/ or labour is employed by the Customer for any other works on the project site. If, in case, such requirement arises, the Customer shall promptly inform MOD about such works and take a prior written consent from MOD. MOD shall not be responsible for any delays, damages, quality issues, etc. in the event of violation of this sub-clause by the Customer.
Cancellation and Refund Policy:
MOD strives for 100% customer satisfaction. However, if you do not wish to avail the services of MOD, the terms of cancellation and refund are a s follows:
a) The booking amount of 10% shall be refundable only if the design on-boarding meeting has not taken place, the refunds mode will be NEFT only and refunds processed within 15 days of approvals.
b) Post the first meeting the amount shall stand non-refundable.
c) All further payments, including but not limited to those made post receipt of intimation of completion from the MOD Project Manager, shall be non-refundable.
Delay Penalty:
a) What is a delay Penalty: It is a discount offered to customers when handovers are delayed for a period longer than 15 days after the confirmed move-in date*.
b) How is it calculated: Penalty per day for every day, beyond 15 days after the committed move-in date, is 0.05% of the total Project Value.
E.g., Move In Date- 1st May 2023. Project Value: INR 10,00,000/-. In this case, a penalty of IN 500 (0.05% of INR 10,00,000/-) per day will be applicable in case of delay beyond 15th May.
The maximum delay penalty payable cannot exceed 3% of the total Project Value.
*Move-in definition: A project is considered ready to move in if the kitchen, living, bed and bathrooms are functional. In projects with minor snags (such as replacement of a part or whole of a functional unit, delayed supply of a free-standing unit/ product, snags in false ceiling/ finishing/ electrical works etc.), the home is still considered ready to move-in as long as the snags do not affect the functionality of the home.
c) When is the Delay Penalty not applicable?
– Incase there are any design changes/ modifications after communication of date of move-in to the customer; this includes change in scope, addition of scope, reduction of scope, material changes, finish changes, aesthetic changes, functional changes, or any other changes that may result in a delay in the manufacturing, procurement or execution at site.
– In case of delay by the Customer in providing approvals for material selection as highlighted in the Tentative Schedule of the Proiect.
– In case of non-payment by the Customer or partial payment or any delay in payments as per the payment milestones, MOD will not be held responsible for delays beyond the move-in date, and, hence, Delay Penalty will not be applicable
– In cases where the Project involves scope of work handled by the customer, then the duration of execution of the customer’s scope of work will be taken into consideration to estimate the move-in date.
– Delay in access to the site, which results in delay in execution.
– In case of any dependency on the customer to provide approvals from any local authority and they fail to do so prior to the start of project execution.
– Unavailability of resources such as consistent power and water supply resulting in the project delay.
– Any unprecedented delay due to bandh/curfew/lockdown in the operational city due to war/pandemic/events as called by the central government.
Liability:
a) MOD shall not be held responsible for any claims arising out of defects due to material or workmanship defects not included in the project.
b) MOD shall not be held responsible for damages arising due to rough handling or usage of the products or normal wear and tear.
c) MOD reserves the right to alter specifications in the project in keeping with its policy of continuous product evaluation and improvement.
d) Decisions pertaining to repair or replacement of components (in part or whole) shall lie solely with MOD, pursuant to an inspection of the defect by a representative of MOD.
e) MOD shall make all efforts to replace/ repair the defect within a reasonable period of time. MOD shall not be liable for any direct/indirect loss to the user due to the defect or delay in providing the service, o rany fault arising due to design, application or installation.

Technical Specifications
(a) In the initial estimate, all units apart from loft units shall have soft close hinges from Ebco/Hettich
(b) The estimate is inclusive of Zinc/Aluminium handles of upto Rs. 225/piece. For any handles chosen during the design phase with price above Rs.225, a differential amount shall be charged accordingly.
(c) Exterior laminates will be of 1mm thickness and interior laminates will be of 0.8mm thickness.
(d) Raw Plywood thickness will be 16mm in case of Modular finishes.. Finished thickness will be 18mm for Modular finishes.
Woodwork Internal Details
1. Wardrobes
In the initial estimate, the Wardrobe internals will consist of the following.
(a) Swing/Hinged Wardrobe between 300mm to 450mm width will consist of 1 shutter and only internal shelves.
(b) Swing/Hinged wardrobe between 500-850mm width will consist of 2 shutters, one internal drawer, one removable shelf and 1 Hanger rod.
(c) Swing/Hinged Wardrobe between 900mm to 1200mm width will consist of 2 shutters, two internal drawers, two removable shelves and 1 hanger rod.
(d) Swing/Hinged Wardrobe between 1350-1800mm width will consist of 3 shutters,two internal drawers, two removable shelves and 1 hanger rod.
(e) Sliding wardrobes starts at 1500mm width and goes upto 2700mm.
(f) Sliding Wardrobes between 1500mm to 2250 mm width will have 2 shutters, two internal drawers, two removable shelves and 1 hanger rod.
(g) Sliding Wardrobes of 2400mm width will have 3 shutters, two internal drawers, two removable shelves and 1 hanger rod.
(h) Only Sliding wardrobe of width 2700mm will consist of double ply at 1800mm.
(i) If the drawer has not been opted then the same shall be replaced by an extra shelf.
(i) Additional drawer/shelf if any shall be charged accordingly.
2. Kitchen
In the initial estimate,the Kitchen internals will consist of the following.
(a) Kitchen base/ bottom units apart from the drawer and accessories units shall contain one shelf.
(b) Telescopic channels provided for wire baskets shall be normal close by default. Soft close shall be provided upon request and shall be charged accordingly.
(c) Kitchen wall/ middle units shall contain 1 shelf for 600mm and 720mm height & 2 shelves for 900mm height units.
(d) Cylinder & sink units will not have shelves.
Warranty & Disclaimer of Warranty
(a) Scope of Warranty :
In the event of there being any manufacturing defect in any of the products (“Products”) enumerated below, within the specified warranty periods following the date of delivery/installation, MOD shall, at its discretion, repair or replace such Products at its cost. This certificate of warranty covers the following Products:
*Cabinets made of laminated 16-19mm BWP, Plywood – to 10 (ten) years; *Cabinets made of laminated 16-19mm BWR/MR/Com Ply – Upto 5 (five) years; * Shutters of all finishes and all materials – 5 (five) years.
* Accessories, Hardware, and Appliances as per the Manufacturer’s Warranty.
(b) Warranty Terms:
*MOD warrants to you that all products will be free from any manufacturing defect and defect in installation workmanship.
* The warranty only applies if the products are properly maintained, and used for normal domestic use.
*The warranty will not be applicable in case of resale of the products or transfer/sale of the apartment to another party.
*The warranty period for (i) hardware; (ii) accessories and (iii) appliances that are used in all our products will be the same as that offered by the original equipment manufacturer.
*If a defect is observed within the respective warranty period you must notify MOD in writing within a period of 7 (seven) days therefrom and, upon confirmation of the defect by an authorized MOD representative, MOD’s sole responsibility shall be, at its option to either arrange for repair of defective Product, or arrange a replacement for defective Products.
*If MOD chooses to replace a Product proved to be defective, MOD shall depending on availability, provide a replacement that is as close as possible in dimension, function, and colour to the defective product. MOD will not guarantee that the replacement will be exactly the same in all aspects when compared to the product being replaced.
This warranty is null and void if any person other than MOD authorized representative installs, repairs or alters the products without the prior consent of MOD.
Warranty Disclaimer:
The warranty certificate sets forth MOD’ sole warranty obligation with respect to the Products and is in lieu of all other warranties oral or written, express or implied. MOD makes no warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to the Products and MOD shall not be liable for incidental, special, consequential or other similar damages arising out of any breach of the warranty.
MOD does not warrant against and is not responsible for: (i) any condition of the product attributable to; or (ii) any damage to products caused by any of the following:
Wear and tear suffered through normal use (including scratches, dents and cuts) or damage caused by impacts or accidents;
Rusting of channels, hinges and other metallic parts. These could be damaged due to household chemicals and sprays and hence care to be taken while using such products around hardware and accessories
Water leakage and seepage within the building structure and continuous dampness of the surface beyond:
a. 72 (seventy-two )hours for BWP grade plywood (IS710);
b. 48 (forty-eight) hours for BWR grade plywood (IS303);and
c. 24 (twenty-four) hours for exterior grade PB and MDF materials.
Degradation, discoloration, damage,fading, etc. in colour, grain, or texture of natural wood materials, laminates and other covering materials due to exposure to intensive or excessive light, sunlight, moisture or heat or other environmental factors.
Use of inappropriate chemicals, detergents, abrasives or other inappropriate cleaning agents that can damage the wooden surface of the Products or rust accessories.
Mistreatment, negligent use, misuse, insufficient or improper care (including but not limited to exposure to harsh weather conditions).
Alterations, modifications or use of Products which is beyond or inconsistent with supplied Product instructions and / or not been authorized by MOD.
Damage or stains due to water leakage and/or seepage; or
Damage caused by any force majeure event (such as flooding, hurricane, earthquake, lightning, etc.), environmental condition (such as air pollution, solvent exposure, mold, mildew etc.), or staining from foreign substances (such as dirt, grease, oils, sprays etc).
MOD’ liability will reduce over the warranty period according to the following scale:
In the first 12 (twelve) months after the date of delivery/installation- 100% (hundred percent) of replacement cost; and From month 13 (thirteen) to month 60 (sixty)after the date of delivery/installation – 80% (eighty percent) of replacement cost.
From month 61 (sixty-one) to month 120 (one hundred twenty) after the date of delivery/installation- 60% (sixty percent) of the replacement cost.
The products installed by MOD should not be removed, as removal of goods will cause damage to the installed products. Failure to adhere to this condition shall void the warranty provided by MMOD and MOD shall not be responsible for any such damage.
MOD specifically disclaims all warranties and indemnities, express, implied or statutory, including without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or any warranty arising from the course of performance or course of dealing.
Service & Maintenance
MOD will provide one free service visit to the site to address routine services which cover moving parts like hinges, channels etc. This service will address issues like minor alignment, loose parts etc.
This free service is applicable and should be availed during the first 12 (twelve) months after the date of delivery/installation. Please call MOD Interiors Care to schedule a visit. Any service and maintenance calls thereafter will be done on a chargeable basis (MOD’ current assessment / inspection fee is a sum of Rs. 750 (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty) per visit).
If the work includes re-alignment of units and/or replacement of items not covered under warranty(due to physical damage, continuous water leakage, rusting, etc.), the cost of replacement will be over and above Rs.750, and a bill for the same will be shared after the visit.
MOD’s assessment/inspection fees do not include the cost of materials or labour used for addressing such service and maintenance calls.
